Bazaar is pleased to team up with The Walters Art Museum to curate the 2nd Annual Baltimore Taxidermy Open on Oct. 6th, 2016!

The Baltimore Taxidermy Open (BTO) is a competition for taxidermists and collectors who have unusual rogue or fantasy items in their body of work or collections.

The event will also feature lectures by Dr. Joneath Spicer, curator of The Chamber of Wonders at The Walters Art Museum, and Robert Marbury, author of bestselling Taxidermy Art, as well as a demonstration by Divya Anantharaman, award-winning rogue taxidermist and educator.

Last year's competition featured works from nearly twenty individuals from near and far and drew a crowd of nearly one thousand attendees.  We are expecting similar or greater numbers this year.

Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including Best in Show, Best Anthropomorphic, Best of Bones, Best of Bugs, Best Rogue, Best Mixed Media, and more!
